Pauses are too long between actual rings

I keep on missing phone calls because pauses are too long between actual rings, especially if my phone is in another part of the office. I wonder if theres a way to shorten the loop of the ringtones because Ive paid for sounds, not for silence. Also, the ringtones are too quiet (missed phone calls in the lobby of a building and in the street) and the choice of ringtones is somewhat mediocre.
I would be happy to change my rating if I see improvements. Thank you.
